About me - Ian Midwinter

After nearly 30yrs as a systems analyst/programmer in the Financial Services industry, I’ve decided to try and turn a long-time hobby into a more rewarding one. Had a go at a Commercial Photography degree at Derby Uni – the ‘oldest kid on the block’ – but couldn’t get on with some of the content, so I’m back to just shooting what I like !

I particularly enjoy photographing landscape, industrial and religious architecture, heavy engineering [steam trains etc], motorsport and flora/fauna - bit of a mixture - but I'll try almost anything including gigs/promos for my nieces BF's band !

I use Sony digital SLRs, but have had experience with many different makes and models over the years - & I always have my late fathers Canon G7 with me wherever I go.
